VI BCN Fashion Symposium by LCI Barcelona

On Thursday, May 8, we celebrate the sixth edition of our Fashion Symposium — a day of talks, workshops, and reflection that, under the title "CARE to CREATE to CARE", invites us to rethink fashion as a space for compassion and empathy. The event will be held in Spanish, except for the opening keynote, which will be in English.

Here’s the program of activities we’ve prepared:

Opening and presentation of the VI BCN Fashion Symposium.

9:30 am - 10:30 am
Re-fashioning the human: posthumanism and new materialism as a new paradigm in contemporary fashion
Opening keynote by Francesca Granata, professor of Art and Design History at Parsons School of Design and editor of “Fashion Journal”.

10:30 am - 11:00 am
MOVE! Talk: What if care were the best business strategy?
A conversation on the challenges and opportunities of integrating care into fashion brands, with Sònia Flotats, director of MOVE!, and Coral Andrados, sustainability manager at Blue Banana.

11:00 am - 11:30 am
Coffee break.

11:30 am - 1:45 pm
Academic paper presentations on the theme "CARE to CREATE":
