Poblenou Open Night 2025 at LCI Barcelona

Next Friday, November 28, we will be taking part in the 12th edition of Poblenou Open Night ! A large part of the creative community of the Poblenou Urban District opens its spaces for an evening-night event to offer a wide program of cultural activities: exhibitions, workshops, music, dance, and gastronomy.

If you stop by our campus that day, you will be able to take part in the following activities:

Craft Your Plastic! Workshop

🕐 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.
📍 Forum (capacity: max. 15 people)

Led by Petra Garajová, LCI Barcelona’s Materials and Sustainability Coordinator, we will explore the intersection between creativity and science and discover the possibilities offered by bioplastics, a planet-friendlier material. We will learn how to “cook” and create our own bioplastics from biological matter, transforming everyday ingredients into a biodegradable material with the potential to integrate into a truly circular system.

We will introduce the scientific principles that make this transformation possible while opening a space for experimentation and creative expression, offering a preview of our Biofabrication class. Sign up for the workshop (spots are limited!) and become, for a day, a conscious designer of the future of materials.

#MadeInLCI Animation Short Film Screening

Enjoy an exclusive screening of the short films created by students from recent classes of our Bachelor’s in Animation : Buster and Baxter (2019), Fanny Fun Fum (2019), Seppuku (2020), BOB (2021), El Duelo (2021), Sweet Side (2022), Lifetime (2023), Peceidas (2024), and Little Friend (2025). All these projects, full of talent and creativity, have toured festivals and earned numerous awards and recognitions.
