Game lab: showcase of interactive experiences and video games

  • May 19, 2026
  • 6:30 PMto 8:30 PM
  • LCI Barcelona Campus (carrer d'Àlaba, 124)

How is a game experience built? Come and see it live on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 pm at our campus (carrer d'Àlaba, 124).

Game lab is an open showcase where you'll be able to discover —and try out!— a selection of projects developed by students from our Bachelor's in Video Game Design. It's not just about seeing the final result, but understanding what's behind it: how mechanics are conceived, how decisions are made, and how an idea becomes an experience.

During the session, the designers themselves will present their projects and share their creative process: testing, changes, mistakes, and learnings that are all part of developing any game.

The event will also feature the presentation of two experiences developed in collaboration with ACAPPS (Catalan Association of Families and People with Hearing Loss) which use play as a tool to question how we perceive and communicate, inviting participants to step into the shoes of deaf people.

You will also be able to interact directly with the projects in a small exhibition designed to explore different ways of playing, designing, and experimenting. Proposals that approach video games from diverse perspectives, both conceptual and technical.

Game lab is conceived as a space where play is understood beyond entertainment: as a creative practice, as a research process, and as a medium for generating new forms of interaction.

The event is free. To attend, simply sign up by clicking the button above and join us on Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30 pm at our campus (carrer d'Àlaba, 124). Come play, explore, and discover how these experiences are created!
