An alumni and a faculty member showcase their collections at EGO MBFW Madrid

These days, a new edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid is taking place—the biggest week in Spanish fashion. The best designers of the moment take to the runway, from established names (featured in the general program) to emerging talents (showcased on the EGO catwalk). On Sunday, February 23, the latest collections by alumni Marta Mangano and professor Micaela Clubourg will be presented as part of this circuit.

Rtama - “Sit Up!”

Marta Mangano, an alumni of our Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, founded her artisanal knitwear brand Rtama in 2023, blending traditional techniques with a purpose-driven design approach. At EGO, she will present "Sit Up!", a collection that highlights the power of fashion as a medium for storytelling—focusing on resilience and community. Inspired by the designer’s personal experiences in Mexico City, her proposal explores the connections between sports, urban identity, and overcoming adversity in contexts of social inequality.

Studio Cumbre - “The Ancient Dark / Edit 07”

In addition to being a faculty member in our Fashion area, Micaela Clubourg is a designer and entrepreneur committed to advancing sustainability in the textile industry. She is the founder of Studio Cumbre, a brand that merges craftsmanship with contemporary design to create timeless, ethically made pieces. Her new collection, "The Ancient Dark / Edit 07", is inspired by a duality: the serenity of the timeless and the uncertainty of ancestral darkness. Each piece pays homage to tradition, revitalizing artisanal techniques and pure forms that evoke authenticity and permanence.
