On June 23, the list of the World’s Most Beautiful Campuses 2025 was announced as part of the prestigious Prix Versailles awards, promoted by UNESCO to celebrate excellence in contemporary architecture on a global scale. At LCI Barcelona, we are proud to announce that our building has been selected among the world’s most outstanding campuses for its design, functionality, and cultural value. In December, we will find out whether, in addition to this great recognition, we receive the top distinction (Prix Versailles) or one of the special awards in the Interior or Exterior categories.

Created in 2015, these awards recognize not only university campuses but also other architectural projects (airports, museums, hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, etc.) that stand out for their commitment to smart sustainability, aesthetics, and contribution to collective wellbeing. According to Jérôme Gouadain, Secretary General of Prix Versailles, architecture plays a key role in the education of both the present and the future:
“At a time when young people's educational aspirations are more changing, innovative, and demanding than ever (accelerated by the rise of artificial intelligence), universities must provide solid, inspiring, sustainable, and aesthetically refined environments. Spaces where design facilitates learning and fosters wellbeing. Architecture, in this sense, is a powerful tool for social, ecological, and cultural transformation”.
