Lisa Ulrich, Graphic Design student, triumphs at the Veredictas Awards 2025

The Veredictas International Foundation has just announced the winners of its 2025 Cum Laude Awards, which recognize the best projects carried out by Design students from around the world, and we are very pleased to share that Lisa Ulrich, a final-year student of the Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, has received no fewer than four awards: three Honor Cum Laude distinctions (the highest recognition of the competition) and one Cum Laude selection for several of her projects.
Moritz La Nadalenca - Honor Cum Laude in the category of Best Beverage Packaging Design
“Moritz La Nadalenca beer is a limited edition specially designed for Christmas to raise a toast during the holidays. This edition is inspired by the iconic Christmas Flower and the values it represents, aiming to reinterpret Christmas without resorting to stereotypes. Through the abstraction of its shape, a pictogram is created that is then broken down into three red leaves and three green leaves. The La Nadalenca pack consists of six beers, each representing a petal of the flower, and each petal symbolizing a value. When the six bottles are placed together, the full flower takes shape, expressing the idea of unity and the spirit of sharing that defines Christmas. In short, a special edition designed to celebrate time with family and friends”. Project supervised by professor Estela Ibarz.

Unbuilding Walls - Honor Cum Laude in the category of Best Exhibition Design
“The Unbuilding Walls exhibition at the Venice Biennale stems from the fall of the Berlin Wall and its impact. The designed identity seeks to reflect on the deconstruction of walls physically, spatially, and mentally through a commemorative design that embraces both past and future. It conveys that, although it may be impossible to avoid walls entirely, we can deconstruct them and transform oppression into liberation. The event’s identity is based on the overhead plan designed for the exhibition space. It features a layout of cement panels measuring 1.4 x 2.5 m that symbolize wall fragments. At the beginning, visitors walk through a narrow space between gray panels, experiencing oppression, and as they move forward the panels turn and become neon yellow, representing liberation”. Project supervised by professor Rein Steger.

Quarx - Honor Cum Laude in the category of Best Logo or Brand Design + Cum Laude Selection in the category of Best Digital Web or App Design
“Quarx is an app designed as a digital tool for graphic designers and students, where only the best projects make up the feed. Each project contains key information, ensuring that scrolling through Quarx provides not only inspiration but also learning. The app includes a filtering system by typography, color, style, and category, allowing for an effective search of references. Its visual identity is inspired by quarks, the smallest particles in the universe. Just as the combination of quarks led to the beginning of everything we know, the combination of ideas gave rise to the app. Every project is born from the connection and combination of ideas and references. For this reason, the app was named Quarx”. This project, supervised by professor Arturo González, received an In Book selection in the latest edition of the ADG Laus Awards.

The Veredictas Cum Laude Awards not only recognize the best emerging talent, but also help to promote their work, strengthen their professional development, and give visibility to both students and their academic institutions. Congratulations, Lisa!
