Tancades

About the projectConnect and follow their work
In June 1976, more than 200 working-class women locked themselves inside a church in Sant Andreu del Palomar in solidarity with the Motor Ibérica workers' strike, proving they were political subjects capable of fighting. For 28 days they built a community of mutual support and learning. That act of solidarity was a turning point. Tancades is a tribute to those women.
