About the project

This collection explores the experiences of Afghan women living under restrictions on their freedom, education, work, and public presence. Inspired by the resilience of women facing these realities, the collection unfolds through three stages: restriction, hope, and freedom. Through experimental textiles, gathering, knit structures, and symbolic silhouettes, the project uses fashion as a form of storytelling, reflecting both oppression and the enduring strength, hope, and visibility of Afghan women.
