Alba Giménez Gil
Educator and researcher specializing in audiovisual media, contemporary art, and philosophy. She holds a PhD in Audiovisual Communication from the University of South Wales (USW), a Master’s in Philosophy from the National University of Distance Education (UNED), and a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. Her doctoral research focused on the artist Harun Farocki, and she currently explores the relationships between image, memory, and critical discourse.
She has taught at the University of South Wales, UNED, the University of Girona, and the Open University of Catalonia, in courses related to contemporary art and philosophy, as well as other related fields. In recent years, she has combined teaching with educational projects in museum institutions and interdisciplinary artistic research.
At LCI Barcelona, she coordinates the area of Design Fundamentals. Her pedagogical practice integrates Visual Thinking Strategies, active methodologies, and project-based learning, placing students at the center of their educational journey.
