Nicolás Markuerkiaga

Architect from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB). In 2010, he founded Zaga Arquitectura as a platform for the development of architecture in its many facets: public and private projects, renovation, interior design, public space, competitions, research, and teaching. Through this practice, he has carried out numerous projects in the fields of architecture, interior design, and urban design. Since 2018, he has been teaching at LCI Barcelona. He is currently working on his doctoral thesis at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
His work has been published in various national and international journals, such as ON Diseño, Concept Magazine, Arquitectura y Diseño, AD, AT, Open House Magazine, and DAU. He has lectured on his work at institutions such as Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Cardiff University in Wales, and Universidad Finisterrae in Santiago de Chile.
