From October 7 to 17, the 20th edition of Barcelona Design Week will take place, an essential event for design and creativity in our city and on the international stage. LCI Barcelona is once again an associate venue for the event, and for this reason we will be hosting a series of activities you won’t want to miss:

Organized by 22@Network Barcelona, the session Digital Art and Creative Artificial Intelligence offers a space for critical reflection on how generative technologies are opening up new paths for artistic creation. The initiative aims to connect artists, creators, researchers, and the general public to foster dialogue, collaboration, and transdisciplinary thinking about the future of digital culture.

In the second session of the Think Tank 2025 organized by the Design Institute of Spain, we will explore how generational diversity drives the transformation toward more sustainable and regenerative organizations, integrating the perspectives of Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Gen Z. This exclusive gathering will show how intergenerational collaboration is the key to overcoming the paradigm of traditional growth and moving toward transdesign.

In this lecture, architect Ana García (founder of NeuronaLab and director of our Master’s in Wellbeing, Neuroarchitecture, and Bioconstruction) will discuss how neuroplasticity allows us to develop new solutions, solve problems in innovative ways, and enhance our creativity.

We inaugurate the 4th edition of Fight for Kindness, a non-profit project promoted by Zetafonts, ADCE, Typeroom, Type Directors Club, Slanted, OFFF, Posterheroes, and other organizations. This exhibition brings together both established professionals and emerging talents who share their belief in the transformative power of creativity to generate social change.

Our Parking Gallery once again becomes the stage for this hybrid between fair and collective exhibition, bringing together innovative and experimental proposals aligned with the preservation and construction of a more sustainable and human future. Inspired by creative resilience and under the metaphorical concept Lessons from the Moon, the exhibition invites reflection on new possible horizons for design and society.

Alumni Laia Badia Pubill, recent graduate of the Bachelor’s in Fashion Design, will play a prominent role in this year’s Barcelona Design Week thanks to Caducifolium, her final degree collection. After participating in the Biodesign Challenge 2025, the project has been selected in the first call of Materia Prima, an initiative focused on sustainability that will be presented on Tuesday, October 7 at 6:00 p.m. at the Disseny Hub Barcelona. Laia will also be our representative at the LCI Barcelona stand within the Underground fair.
