DESIGN IS NOT DEAD: The future of graphic design with AI

  • May 28, 2026
  • 6:00 AMto 7:30 PM
  • LCI Barcelona Campus (carrer d'Àlaba, 124)

If you’re thinking about studying graphic design, you’ve probably been told that AI is going to kill the profession. At LCI Barcelona, we believe exactly the opposite: technology is not here to replace designers, but to separate those who simply execute from those who know how to lead.

An honest conversation about the present of design

On Thursday, May 28 at 6:00 pm, we’re opening the doors of our campus for a talk that moves beyond speculation to focus on the reality of today’s industry. We want you to hear from four people experiencing this transformation from different perspectives:

  • Anna Pallerols: Head of our Graphic Design area.
  • Alan Ramírez: Specialist in artificial intelligence applied to creativity.
  • Oliver Montiel: Creative Director at Bold and LCI lecturer.
  • Lisa Ulrich: Student of the Bachelor’s in Graphic Design currently integrating AI into her final degree project.

What will we talk about?

In this conversation, we’ll address the questions that really matter if you want to pursue a career in this field:

  • The real market: What kind of profiles are design studios in Barcelona actually looking for today?
  • Your creative voice: How can you work with AI without your projects looking like they were made by a generic algorithm?
  • Your career: What do you need today to start building a strong career in an industry that never stops evolving?
Design is Not Dead: The future of graphic design with AI
If you’re interested in graphic design but have genuine questions about its future, sign up for the event by filling out the form above and join us on campus (carrer d’Àlaba, 124). We’re not going to give you a software tutorial; we’re going to show you why, even when the tools change, design is still what matters most. The event will be held in Spanish.
