LCI Barcelona takes part in Llum BCN 2026 with "Tábula"
- February 6, 2026to February 8, 2026
- Gardens of L’Auditori.
Our School is once again taking part in Llum BCN, Barcelona’s festival of light arts, which celebrates its 15th edition from February 6 to 8 under the theme “Night Landscapes”. This year, the event offers a different, experimental, and sensitive perspective on urban architecture through installations that invite visitors to rediscover the city beyond its everyday functionality.
In this context, a group of students from the Interior Design area presents Tábula, an installation located in the Gardens of L'Auditori that reflects on contemporary solitude and the importance of human connection. The table, understood as a universal symbol of relationship, structures a journey across three levels (below, at level, and above) that evoke introspection, balance, and transcendence. Through a dialogue between light and silence, the piece creates an emotional pause, an invitation to reconnect with oneself and with the community.

The project has been developed by students Ariadna Pachón, Aroa Yueying Cadena, Berta Pujol, Yingyan Li, Carla Bages, Danna Pascuales, Daniella Bondanza, Laia Juez, Jiaying Chen, Helena Conejo, Anastasiia Buiavchikova, Lucía Saldaña, Natàlia Cabrillana, Ona Narváez, Vinyet Parellada, Patricia Batlle, Paula Gutiérrez, Pierre Blot, Rafaella Delgado, Rut Ratera, Daniela Sánchez, and Yajhaira Nicole Trujillo, under the guidance of faculty members Edgar Domínguez, Gema Gilgado, and Ana García López. The companies Ilombra, LED Computronic, NexoAcer, KERAI by VISELED, and Candelwatt have also collaborated. Their collective work has resulted in an immersive experience that transforms solitude into an opportunity for connection and highlights the human need to pause, feel, and share.
Llum BCN arrives this year with new proposals that extend across the city’s districts to celebrate Barcelona’s role as the 2026 World Capital of Architecture. Within this framework, Tábula joins a program that showcases emerging talent and the key role of design, art, and architecture schools in shaping transformative visions.
You can find more information on the festival’s official website. This Friday and throughout the weekend, enjoy Barcelona’s great celebration of light!
