Masterclass with Cécile Guillard, art director of “Iron Boy”

Get an inside look at art direction in animated film with Cécile Guillard, art director of Iron Boy (aka Le Corset), which won the Special Jury Prize in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, as well as the Jury Prize and the Audience Award at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.

In this masterclass organized by our Animation area, Cécile will share how the film’s visual universe came to life: the aesthetic choices, the references, the teamwork, and the creative process that takes a project from first ideas to the screen. It’s a unique chance to see professional animation practice at the highest level up close and get your questions answered by one of the film’s key creatives.

The event will take place on Friday, November 6, at 5:00 pm on our campus (carrer d'Àlaba, 124) as part of the professional program of My First Film Festival 2026. The masterclass will be held in French, with simultaneous interpretation into Spanish.
