Opening of the installation "MIRA'M"
- June 12, 2026
- 5:00 PMto 6:00 PM
- LCI Barcelona Campus (carrer d'Àlaba, 124)
On Friday, June 12, at 5:00 pm, you’re invited to the opening of MIRA'M, an ephemeral installation created by our third-year students from the Bachelor’s in Interior Design as part of Barcelona – World Capital of Architecture 2026.
Why you shouldn’t miss it
MIRA'M will be installed in the square next to our campus, in the heart of a Poblenou still in transformation: a meeting point where contemporary architecture, technological innovation, industrial memory and social diversity all coexist.
Every day, this space is a crossroads for very different people — those who live in the neighborhood, those who work there, and those visiting for the first time. And also for those who rarely appear in the 22@ narrative: the migrant workers who collect scrap metal, whose work is an essential part of the city’s urban waste cycle, though it seldom receives the recognition it deserves.
Drawing from this everyday reality, our students’ installation aims to spark dialogue between the different communities that inhabit the neighborhood and to imagine new ways of sharing and claiming urban space. A project that doesn’t just temporarily occupy the square, but aspires to strengthen the community fabric of the 22@ district.
