Graduation

We celebrate the graduation ceremonies of the class of 2025

The graduations had two stages: the Oriol Martorell hall at L’Auditori de Barcelona, which hosted the institutional event, and our campus, where the graduates’ big celebration took place.

Last Friday, July 18, we enjoyed an unforgettable day on the occasion of our 2025 graduation ceremonies, held at L’Auditori de Barcelona. Four events — two in the morning dedicated to master’s, postgraduates, and Pattern Making programs, and two in the afternoon focused on bachelor’s degrees, diplomas, and CFGS (advanced vocational training programs) — brought together more than a thousand people including graduates, family members, friends, faculty, and LCI staff.

It was a day full of emotion and pride in which we paid tribute to the first class to complete their studies at our new 22@ campus.

Inspiring speeches from the protagonists

The ceremonies began with words from our General Director, Sílvia Viudas, the Academic Director, Miljana Micovic, and Alessandro Manetti, member of the Board of Directors of LCI Education. The three conveyed their congratulations to the new graduates and encouraged them to face their new professional challenges with confidence and resilience. Robert D. Thompson, Scientific Director of Materfad and patron of the class of 2025, shared valuable advice for their future with the attendees.

In the afternoon ceremonies, the spotlight also shone on the teaching team, with speeches by professors David Carretero, María Jesús Franco, Quico Domingo, David Gómez, Oriol Nin, Gema Gilgado, and Susanna Canalda, representing each of our study fields.

Likewise, some graduates took the stage to speak on behalf of their classmates: Natalia Castillo, Verónica Estrugo, Carlos Pinzón, Jocksangely Pérez, Claudia Gracia, Renata Garcés, Alba Mariscal, and Ainhoa García.

Teaching Excellence Award and talent recognitions

During the second ceremony of the afternoon we presented the 2025 Teaching Excellence Award to Daniel Louzao, a professor with a long career at LCI marked by his passion for teaching, his commitment, and his closeness to students.

In addition, the best academic records of the graduating class of bachelor’s degrees, CFGS, and diplomas were recognized with awards that include scholarships to continue studies at our School. The awardees were Elsie Marlene Toro (Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design), Inés Asens (Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design), Cecilia Paz Barrios (Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design), Jara Plana (CFGS in Pattern Making and Fashion), Mónica Gil (CFGS in Projects and Direction of Decoration Works), Paula Rubio (Diploma in Animation), Guillem Rovira (Diploma in Video Game Design), and Elena Infantes (Diploma in Photography).

The celebration continued on campus

After each ceremony, we moved the celebration to our facilities, where the new graduates captured that very special day at the photocall with their families and friends and toasted to the rhythm of live music. They were also able to visit the final project exhibition.

It was a day that will remain forever in the collective memory of LCI Barcelona. From now on, our graduates become part of the great LCI Education alumni community worldwide.

We wish you a future full of success and remember: this will always be your home. Congratulations, class of 2025!
