Back to School

The 2025-2026 academic year begins

We welcome our new bachelor’s and advanced vocational training students joining us this year, those continuing their studies with us, and also a group of Erasmus+ students and others from LCI Education campuses.

The LCI community keeps growing! Last Friday we welcomed 240 new bachelor’s students (40% of whom are international) and 90 students from advanced vocational training who are beginning their studies at LCI Barcelona in the 2025–2026 academic year.

“You are starting a journey that is more than a great adventure”. With these words our General Director, Sílvia Viudas, opened the Welcome Day in the Forum space on floor -1. “The School will be your workshop, your laboratory; here you will build who you want to be as future professionals in design and the visual arts”, said Sílvia, encouraging the new students never to lose their curiosity. “We will accompany you in finding answers, becoming aware and critical, and understanding that making mistakes is part of the creative process”. She also spoke about the LCI Education network and the three pillars that define us: the synergies of our creative multiverse, our commitment to internationality (through the Erasmus+ program and other exchange opportunities), and the strong connection we maintain with the business world and institutions.

Next, Academic Director Miljana Micovic presented the keys of our educational model and highlighted the importance of interdisciplinarity, teamwork, and social and environmental commitment: “We want our students to create and design to achieve a better society”. She also reminded everyone that studying at LCI Barcelona means enjoying a unique experience: living in a city that is a benchmark in the creative industries, belonging to a diverse and inclusive community, and having personalized support at all levels.
The academic teams of bachelor’s and advanced vocational training programs, together with the heads of department and the Student Services staff, continued the day by providing new students with all the necessary information about classes, the use of spaces and tools, and everyday life on campus.
Last week we also welcomed 26 Erasmus+ students from universities in different countries and 2 students from other campuses of the LCI Education network (LCI Bogotá and LCI Veritas), who will be with us for a few months. The Student Services department prepared a presentation of the School, a guided tour of the campus, and a breakfast for them.

This Monday we officially started classes with a total of 720 bachelor’s students and 150 advanced vocational training students. 47 nationalities share our classrooms, a diversity that makes LCI Barcelona a true international hub of talent and creativity. Happy 2025-2026 academic year to all!
