These are the winning projects from the 8th edition of our Award for Best High School Final Project

The jury has recognised three proposals that stand out for their creativity, rigour, and sensitivity towards the values of design.

The project Pivas. Moda amb missatge by Sílvia Balañá and Martina Fernández (Institut Jaume I - Salou) is the winner of the 8th edition of the Award for Best High School Final Project organized by LCI Barcelona.

The jury, made up of Academic Director Miljana Micovic and our Heads of Department, especially valued the collection proposal as a means to address the main themes of feminism and the inclusion of a section dedicated to design methodology, inspired by the Italian artist and designer Bruno Munari.

Finalist projects recognised:

  • Disseny i creació pròpia d’una cadira by Íngrid Ubieto (Institut Lluís de Peguera - Manresa), for its rigorous approach to the history of chair design and its well-documented practical application.
  • Vroda. Tradició en futur by Marharyta Brovchenko and Kenneth Pagès (Escola Vedruna Girona), for the choice of a theme of Ukrainian cultural identity and its reinterpretation from contemporary design.

The official award ceremony will take place on our campus before the end of 2025. The prizes for this edition include a 24-inch Apple iMac for the winning project, a Polaroid camera for each finalist project, and a set of books from Editorial GG valued at €200 for Institut Jaume I (Salou) as the educational center where the winning project was carried out.

With this award, which year after year receives applications from across Catalonia, we aim to promote the young talent of high school students from public, private, and concerted centers in the country who approach the creative industries through their research projects.

Congratulations to the winners and finalists!
