On April 23, LCI Barcelona opens its doors for a different kind of Sant Jordi: a day packed with creative workshops, talks with professionals, book presentations, and a literary market with a strong design twist. Our campus (carrer d'Àlaba, 124) will be the setting for a day dedicated to books, design, and culture, with students, faculty, and special guests as the main cast. Check out the full program (all activities will be conducted in Spanish) and reserve your spot now:

Literary Market - Agora (11:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)

Alongside the workshops and talks, the Agora will host a book market featuring titles from various publishers (including Felicidad Duce, our own fashion pattern and sewing book imprint) as well as Sant Jordi gifts handmade by our students. We will also be showcasing an exhibition on the history of the Feli method books, a tribute to the legacy of our fashion school's founder. DJ Viko Viti will keep the energy going throughout the afternoon.

Talk: "Letters, Brushes, and Action! A Walk Through Book Cover Design" - Forum (11:00 a.m.)

Laura Soriano, graphic designer and editor, and Marina Vidal, illustrator specializing in fantasy and science fiction covers, will give us a window into the world of editorial design from the perspective of Crononauta publishing house. Two creative and complementary takes on how image and text come together to make covers that catch the eye from the very first glance.

Creative Workshop: "Postcards from Imaginary Places" - Agora (11:00 a.m.)

Led by faculty members Joan Guardiet and Natàlia Galbán, participants will create illustrated postcards inspired by fictional worlds like Oz, Narnia, and Hogwarts, blending vintage aesthetics and creative lettering to produce unique, magical pieces.

Creative Workshop: "Roses and Colors" - Agora (11:00 a.m.)

Professor Alan Ramírez will lead a collective reinvention of the Sant Jordi rose through digital and analog techniques. Each participant will create their own piece, exploring color, texture, and imagination.

Talk: "Myths and Legends in Video Games and Board Games" - Library (11:00 a.m.)

Faculty members David Gómez and Víctor Rubio will lead a dynamic discussion on how myths and legends come to life in board games and video games, connecting popular culture and design in an inspiring way.

Book Presentation by Antoni Llena and Antoni Bernad - Forum (12:00 p.m.)

Memorias de humo and 1960 a 2010. Retrato y moda are the two books at the center of this meet-the-authors event. Two creators and two perspectives, sharing their process and career to bring us closer to the real world of art and photography.

Book Presentation: The Battle of Versailles: A Historic Night for Fashion - Library (12:00 p.m.)

Martín Torres, LCI Barcelona faculty member and editor at Superflua, will present Robin Givhan's account of the legendary 1973 Versailles runway show: the night that revolutionized fashion and launched American designers onto the world stage.

Activity: "What Book Are You?" - Forum (1:00 p.m.)

Faculty members Mar Sureda and Alejandro López will lead an activity inspired by Fahrenheit 451 to reflect on the value of books: what book would you be, and why? A space for sharing and connecting with literature in a different way.

Book Presentation: Cara Vista - Library (1:00 p.m.)

Professor Ana García will present her book Cara Vista in an intimate gathering with participants, opening a space for dialogue to connect literature with real-life experiences.
