Once again, we are part of
Òh!pera
, the innovative project of contemporary micro-operas promoted by the
Gran Teatre del Liceu
and
Disseny Hub Barcelona
as part of the
Festival Grec
. This initiative offers young talents in design, performing arts, and music the chance to work for months on a real opera creation process, sharing the stage with industry professionals in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

In this fourth edition, our School has taken on the set, costume, and audiovisual design of the piece “Estètica i massacre”, directed by Oriol Pla, with music and musical direction by Carles Prat, and a libretto by Carlota Gurt. The LCI Barcelona team has been made up of faculty and students:
- Coordinators: Anna Pallerols, head of the Graphic Design area, and Mar Sureda.
- Set design tutor: Josep Iglesias.
- Students: Jaume Álvarez and Iris Garcia (Graphic Design), Alba Semper (Fashion Design), Marion Desjours (Photography), and Eduardo Marcelo Lazo (Interior Design). Collaborating students: Cèlia Giné and Adriana Sobal (Fashion Design).
- Faculty: Andrea Otín, Ana García, and Sergi Carbonell.
- Color consultancy: Gema Gilgado
Òh!pera has established itself as a platform for creative experimentation and live learning that connects education with professional practice and reinforces the importance of design in today’s operatic landscape. For our community, this project represents a unique opportunity to take part in a transformative experience inside one of the city’s great cultural temples.

The performances take place on
July 25, 26, and 27
in various spaces of the
Gran Teatre del Liceu
, with two daily sessions (6:00 pm and 7:30 pm). You can find all the information at
