Three LCI students take the runway at Festival Cruïlla with 080 Barcelona Fashion

Pilar Grant, Hugo Fernández, and Cheng Ai, students in our Bachelor's in Fashion Design, will present the collections that won them acclaim at our NEW'26 festival.

This Friday, July 10, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, the Bonpreu stage at Festival Cruïlla will transform into a runway. The 080 x Cruïlla: Projecting Talent initiative, organized together with 080 Barcelona Fashion, will bring together students from the city's leading fashion schools, who will each present four original looks to spotlight the attitude and personal outlook of these new designers.

Pilar Grant, Hugo Fernández, and Cheng Ai, students in our Bachelor's in Fashion Design, will present the collections that won them acclaim just days ago at NEW'26 - The Festival of New Ideas, where they took home the Best Emerging Talent award from Marta Coca, director of 080.

  • Pilar Grant - El museo de un hogar: a collection inspired by childhood homes, in which each garment works like the walls of a room, revealing fragments of memory and lived experience.
  • Hugo Fernández - 000000(*): a project that fuses architectural brutalism with aesthetic decay in a monochrome palette inspired by street photography and cult cinema.
  • Cheng Ai - Guachisnai: a fantasy tale about the symbiotic relationship between a carnivorous plant and a pollinating insect, and how both transform as they overcome their own prejudices.
