Meet our professors

Andreu Carulla

His professional career has led him to know different areas of design, from the most theoretical (conferences and workshops in Chile, Tokyo and New York) to the most technical (product development), going through the most conceptual or artistic (functional art, exhibiting since 2012 at the prestigious Rossana Orlandi gallery in Milan).

In 2006 he founded his own studio. In 2009 he began a fruitful collaboration with El Celler de Can Roca, from which projects such as "El gol d'en Messi", the dessert cart "Roca on Wheels" and the hot ice cream machine "Oxymoron", arose among many others. In 2011, Wallpaper selected him as an emerging designer and later Elle Decor magazine awarded him the best young designer of 2012, the same year he was a finalist in the Delta Awards with the Top Fruit Tops.

In 2013 he received the European Consumers Choice award for the Neighbirds bird nest and, more recently (2015), he got the Red Dot Design Award (the design Oscar) in his highest distinction, besides the Best of the Best award for his parasol Om for Calma.
