Peggy Blum, author of Circular fashion: Making the fashion industry sustainable (Blume Publishing House), will present her publication exclusively at LCI Barcelona this Wednesday, January 12th at 17:00h.
Our guest will explain how she conceptualizes the supply chain in a circular way through the five key points that she explains in her book: 1.Create - 2.Make - 3.Market - 4.Use - 5.Renew. The book offers a practical and creative approach to sustainability.
Peggy is a writer and assistant professor of Practice, Sustainability, Textiles and Apparel Studies. She has taught applied fashion management and marketing at various institutions and has participated in sustainability projects and conferences.
After the presentation, designer Sylvia Calvo (a professional with her own brand since 2015 that transforms coffee bags into garments and accessories) will join the conversation. She is also co-founder of Moda Sostenible Barcelona, the first association of these characteristics that was born with the aim of promoting the benefits of sustainability in the textile industry.
The event, taught in English, will be moderated by the head of the Fashion area Estel Vilaseca. At the end, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the book. Don't miss it!
