DI55ECCIONS: "Art in Motion: Capturing Light, Space, and Movement" by Josep Rodenas

On Wednesday, March 5, at 6:00 PM, the 8th season of our DI55ECCIONS conference series continues with visual artist Josep Rodenas, who will present five key references, projects, or aspects of his work and five trends that, in his opinion, will shape the future of his field. The talk will be held in Spanish.

During his participation in DI55ECCIONS, Josep will also share lighting tips and guide us through a virtual reality experience applied to art, providing a new perspective on the interaction between technology and artistic expression.

About the speaker

Josep Rodenas

His work presents new narratives about beauty in portraiture. Each image conveys a balanced energy, where bodies engage in dialogue with space and where light and shadows play a fundamental role. His work is closely linked to dance, body language, and artistic portraiture.

Throughout his professional career, he has photographed prominent figures from the world of culture and art, such as Woody Allen, Jaume Plensa, Nacho Duato, Xavier Corberó, Ferran Adrià, Richie Hawtin, Oscar Tusquets, Joan Manuel Serrat, and Chucho Valdés, among others.

His photographs have been published in magazines, campaigns, editorials, books, and both commercial and private commissions. From his creative studio in Barcelona, a space dedicated to focus and experimentation, he collaborates with art galleries, design showrooms, and video art projects.

In Josep’s own words, "art is a way of expression, discovery, curiosity, perception, exploration, and communication".

DI55ECCIONS is LCI Barcelona’s talk series focused on the world of design, visual arts, innovation, and creativity. Our incredible new campus in the 22@ district hosts the 8th season of a series that reinvents itself every year. And we continue to play with the number five: in each edition, five guests present five future trends they believe in (related to their projects, their industry, society in general, etc.) and five key references or aspects of their work.
