Prospect Design 2025: Craft it!

Prospect Design, LCI Barcelona’s annual festival that transforms the classroom into a space for creative experimentation, returns stronger than ever for its 11th edition. This year, the School presents "Craft it!", an invitation to explore the potential of the labs in our new campus.

From March 3 to 6, we have organized a series of hands-on workshops open to the entire LCI community and designed to help participants learn innovative techniques that they can apply to their projects. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to customize their own LCI tote bag, turning it into a unique piece using the creative resources explored during Prospect.

What activities are available?

• Laser Cutting Workshop: Participants will learn how to use the laser cutter and design a custom charm for their tote bags using wood pieces and string art. Led by Ernest Perera.
• Sticker Design and Thermal Sealing Workshop: Participants will create their own stickers by combining typography and illustration, applying them to their tote bags using a thermal sealing machine. Led by Marina Tena.
• Cyanotype and Turning Workshop: Attendees will explore the art of alternative photographic printing and experiment with chemical processes to create unique images. With Paul Boswell.
• Introduction to Punch Needle Workshop: Participants will work with punch needle embroidery, transforming their illustrations into creative textile pieces for their tote bags. Taught by Gabriel Torres and Emma Picanyol.

Closing party

To wrap up this week of creativity, the Montreal Space will host a closing party on Thursday, March 6, in which attendees can enjoy an exhibition of the tote bags customized during the workshops. The event will feature snacks, natural energy drinks courtesy of Club Mate, and live music by DJs VIKO VITI and Demar, the stage names of our students Víctor Conesa and Martí Monfort.
