Animac festival selects "El Duelo" in its official section TALENT.CAT
"El Duelo" is collecting more festival selections! The last one to join the list has been Animac, the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia, which this year will be held from March 3rd to 6th (from 4th to 13th also online).
The short film made by seven students of our Animation Diploma as their final degree project has already been screened at the Sitges Film Festival, the Ajayufest, the Animae, the FIA and the C(h)orta, and now the Animac organizers have included it in the official section TALENT.CAT, made up of productions from Catalan film schools.
Save the date: "El Duelo" will be shown on the big screen on Friday, March 4th at 19:30h. An international jury composed of Animation Department members from Portsmouth, Westminster and Royal College of Art universities, as well as a representative of Animac, will decide the Best Short Film Award.
"We didn't expect this great repercussion. The first challenge was to finish the project and, once it was presented, from the team we said that everything that came was something extra", explained its director, Andrés Ponce de León, in the interview he gave us. "We are very happy that the short film can be seen in different places", he added.
Best of luck to the whole team of "El Duelo", made up of Andrés and his partners Marina Abad, Cristina Fabbri, Roger Artero, Marcela García, Marina Gutiérrez and Cristina Leiva.
