The Laus 2022 awards recognize LCI Barcelona alumni and professors

In its 52nd edition, the ADG Laus Graphic Design and Visual Communication awards have once again recognized the talent of the LCI community.

This Thursday was held the Nit ADG Laus, the award ceremony of the 52nd edition of the ADG Laus Graphic Design and Visual Communication awards, within the framework of the Barcelona Design Week'22. A total of 335 projects competed in the different categories of the awards: Aporta, Graphic Design, Digital, Advertising, Audiovisual and Students. And we have very good news because the Laus have once again recognized the talent of the LCI community!

Here you have all our winners:


Cristina Martín ( Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design alumni)

- Project: "Archivo censurado" .

- Award: Laus Aporta Students - Graphic Design (Bronze).

- Description: For her final project, Cristina dealt with the topic of censorship in different areas of society. Her objective was to analyze the taboos and stigmas that exist towards certain social collectives, sexual orientations, etc.

Marc Moratonas ( University Diploma in Graphic Design alumni)

- Project: "Espécimen Tipográfico Sprat" .

- Award: Laus Aporta Students - Graphic Design (Bronze).

- Description: Marc's proposal is a remake of some letterings by Eric Gill that the typography designer sets in the letters of the 70s and 80s. His idea is to take this concept and graphic style and translate them into the design and production of an editorial piece.

Morillas ( Master in Branding and Brand Strategy directors)

- Projects: "Sea of Seas" for Stay Náutica and "Two Poles" for AF Cosmetics.

- Awards: Laus Graphic Design - Naming (Bronze) and Laus Graphic Design - Pack line and/or label (Bronze), respectively.

- Description: The "Sea of Seas" project for a new boat retailer in Marina Vela Barcelona includes the development of the brand concept, the graphic identity, the visual language, the verbal branding and the implementation of the identity in the store. Meanwhile, the proposal "Two Poles" for a new cosmetics brand bets on a minimalist, elegant and non-binary graphic resolution that communicates in a direct and honest way, away from the clichés of the sector.

Dom Brands (consulting firm founded by Nelson Dieguez, professor of the Graphic area )

- Project: "Hummus" for Terraneum.

- Award: Laus Graphic Design - General Public. Pack and/or label line (Silver).

- Description: Design of the new packaging for the brand Terraneum that, through the concept "The shape of flavor", develops a tasty, simple, visually attractive identity that gives prominence to the product. Professor Cassandra Stuyt and alumni Marc Moratonas have also participated in this project.

All the awarded projects can be seen until August 28th in the exhibition "The Best Design of the Year" hosted by Disseny Hub Barcelona.
