Once again, we are part of Òh!pera, the innovative project of contemporary micro-operas promoted by the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Disseny Hub Barcelona as part of the Festival Grec. This initiative offers young talents in design, performing arts, and music the chance to work for months on a real opera creation process, sharing the stage with industry professionals in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.

In this fourth edition, our School has taken on the set, costume, and audiovisual design of the piece “Estètica i massacre”, directed by Oriol Pla, with music and musical direction by Carles Prat, and a libretto by Carlota Gurt. The LCI Barcelona team has been made up of faculty and students:
- Coordinators: Anna Pallerols, head of the Graphic Design area, and Mar Sureda.
- Set design tutor: Josep Iglesias.
- Students: Jaume Álvarez and Iris Garcia (Graphic Design), Alba Semper (Fashion Design), Marion Desjours (Photography), and Eduardo Marcelo Lazo (Interior Design). Collaborating students: Cèlia Giné and Adriana Sobal (Fashion Design).
- Faculty: Andrea Otín, Ana García, and Sergi Carbonell.
- Color consultancy: Gema Gilgado
Òh!pera has established itself as a platform for creative experimentation and live learning that connects education with professional practice and reinforces the importance of design in today’s operatic landscape. For our community, this project represents a unique opportunity to take part in a transformative experience inside one of the city’s great cultural temples.
