Our Interior Design department is actively involved in Interihotel Barcelona 2025
Fira Gran Via de Barcelona hosts a new edition of Interihotel from October 21 to 23. Organized by the AMBIT cluster, this leading event brings together professionals from the hospitality design sector to shape the future of the industry. In parallel, Interi-off takes place, an initiative where hotels, studios, brands, and collectives open their doors for guided tours, temporary installations, talks, conferences, workshops, and afterworks. Faculty members from LCI Barcelona are taking part in several key activities, which we present below.
On Tuesday, October 21 at 4:35 p.m., professor Ana García (director of our Master’s in Neuroarchitecture and Bioconstruction ) will take part in the workshop Design for Future Wellbeing, part of the WellSpaces Forum organized by the Interiors Living Lab of AMBIT. In this co-creative session with designers, investors, operators, and technologists, participants will explore solutions related to emerging challenges, longevity, accessibility, and wellbeing impact indicators.
On Wednesday, October 22 at 12:15 p.m., Ana García will lead, together with professors Gema Gilgado and María Lledó, the roundtable and collaborative workshop Sensoriality and the Design of Care: How to Create Hospitality Spaces that Prioritize Emotional Wellbeing , curated by our School. Through a collective sensory micro-experience, the session will explore how color, materiality, aromas, and acoustics influence user perception and help create environments that nurture and adapt to emotional needs.
On Thursday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m., professor Natàlia Galbán will take part in the closing roundtable of AI Interiors Forum , an event organized by Interihotel, AMBIT, and CETT. The session is titled A Strategic Perspective on AI in Habitat.
Meanwhile, Pedro Coelho, Head of the Interior Design area , is part of the Interihotel Awards jury, which honors professionals, studios, and brands whose projects are defining new ways of living and experiencing spaces. With various categories (such as hotel, restaurant, and stand design), these awards celebrate creativity, innovation, and the transformative power of design.
