LCI Barcelona celebrates the première of Victor Claramunt's new fashion film
The award-winning filmmaker shot his new short film "The Untold Secrets of Barcelona's Happiness" on our campus.
On March 5, the Disseny Hub Barcelona was the setting for a very special evening: the première of The Untold Secrets of Barcelona's Happiness, the new fashion film by Victor Claramunt. A project with deep ties to LCI Barcelona: the short film was shot entirely on our premises and involved the active participation of students and faculty of the School, who experienced first-hand what a professional shoot of the highest level looks like.
In this new work, the acclaimed filmmaker offers a fresh and personal portrait of Barcelona: a city far removed from its most familiar clichés, where fashion is woven into its cultural identity and creative energy. Throughout his career, Claramunt has worked with world-renowned international brands such as Giorgio Armani, Adidas, Nespresso, Coca-Cola and Longchamp, establishing himself as one of the most influential figures in the global fashion film landscape.
The event opened at the Disseny Hub auditorium with a welcome address by our general director Sílvia Viudas, followed by a screening of a selection of short films made by LCI students. Estel Vilaseca, head of the Fashion area, then reflected on the role of fashion film in today's industry before handing over to Victor Claramunt, who introduced his work in his own words. Leonardo Segura, line producer of the short film and one of the students most deeply involved in the project, also took to the stage to talk about his experience.
After the screening of the short film and its making of, a panel discussion took place moderated by Charo Mora (a journalist specialising in fashion culture and co-director of the Master's in Fashion Marketing, Communication, and Event Planning) with the participation of photographer and filmmaker Daniel Riera, director and screenwriter Núria Tolós, Estel Vilaseca, and Claramunt himself.
The auditorium session wrapped up with the screening of the promotional teaser for the new edition of the Moritz Feed Doc festival, also made by students of the School. A networking cocktail with music by DJ Viko Vitti extended the evening in the building's foyer in a relaxed atmosphere.
